Eduardo Garza T.
Eduardo Garza T Fernandez was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. He is married to Carmen Junco Gonzalez and has four children: Carmen, Eduardo, Sebastian and Marcelo.
He began his education at Instituto Franco Mexicano and graduated as a Civil Engineer at Tec de Monterrey in 1970.
Eduardo Garza T. wanted to set up a business. Ricardo Garza Sloan proposed the direction: Monterrey needed a good forging shop. The two of them, together with Luis Garza T., provided the capital, and thus, Fabricaciones y Representaciones Industriales, S.A. FRISA was born.
On November 28, 1971, the shop was inaugurated with one 250-pound pneumatic hammer and one 7 x 10 ft2 furnace.
Years of effort and work turned FRISA into a global industrial group, a world leader in its field, with a presence in many different countries across America, Europe and Asia, successfully supplying industries as diverse as: Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Aerospace, Construction and Mining, and Wind Power, among others.
In addition to his entrepreneurial work, Eduardo Garza T. participates in socially responsible activities through different national and international organizations that contribute to social transformation.
In 2005, he was behind the creation of FRISA AC Foundation, a foundation whose mission is to support third sector organizations that contribute to the improvement and welfare of the Nuevo Leon community through education, health and community development projects, and those supporting the vulnerable.
Today he is the Honorary Chairman of Comunidar Foundation, a community foundation that mobilizes resources for different causes, with the aim of obtaining the best performance and greater social impact by advising and guiding social investors and creating social funds for State development.
He also participates as the Executive Chairman of the Nuevo Leon Council for Strategic Planning in addition to acting as a board member at different companies, organizations, and technical and higher education institutions.
